About the Drawing….

I think you can really tell when two horses are used to working with each other, so that’s why I called this print “Compadres.” I particularly like the way the rope turned out. In order to accurately draw a horsehair rope, you must draw the hairs in the negative when it’s against a darker background. It’s fairly easy to draw the little hairs sticking out when it’s against a light background, but quite a bit harder the other way around.
