45 – Maggies

I started this one a while ago and got stuck on the birds. We took a trip to Yellowstone one winter and saw some magpies at Mammoth that were very accommodating about getting their photos taken. The truck was after taking a wrong turn somewhere in Montana. I had the idea to draw the old truck with the magpies on it and call the drawing “Maggies Pies and Cakes”. I just need to take the time to get the size of the birds correct in comparison to the truck. You can kind of see the areas where they will be. One on the running board and one on the door that has a broken window. A nice, quiet week in February will be the right time to finish it. :)
