One of my very favorite parts of my job is getting to go out and take photos to use for reference material. I took a road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in September of last year to find elk and ran across this bull the first evening. He obliged me by letting me take photos of him for several minutes while he was keeping an eye on his cows and another bull across the valley. There was lots of bugling, which is always a treat to hear.
